Little HandsBefore we even met her, we knew that Bennet had an affinity for her hands. Starting in utero (as apparent in almost every ultrasound), B loved to have her hands in her face. We determined that she either (a) really wanted to keep her identity a surprise for us, or (b) was incredibly camera shy.
While those little hands are always adorable, they also get her into some trouble. In particular, she loves to use them to break out of a swaddle. We’ve also had to resort to mittens on some days to stop her from scratching herself. One day those hands will create art, dribble a ball, type homework, play music, sign “Bennet May,” and give high-fives. In the meantime, we will just sit back and delight in her funny and emotive gestures. Here are some of our favorite handy moments from the past three weeks! Bennet has the BEST little hands! She speaks her own language with her little hands and facial expressions. And when she has that little hand in front of her face with her fingers spread wide open (as in one of the pictures above), I imagine her thinking, "I can't believe you said that Gram!"
